Founding
| Diplom-Ingenieur Carl Dechamps founded ÖLHYDRAULIK ALTENERDING on 04/01/1961 in Altenerding (today part of Erding). We manufactured radial-piston pumps and hydraulic axle locking cylinders for mobile excavators (patented support system) and enjoyed a fast growing customer base. The product offering grew in parallel to the interest that the industry showed increasingly for our young company. We added products for industrial hydraulics and we manufactured directional control valves and pressure and check valves for pressures above 400 bars. Pressure above 250 bars was viewed as high pressure at the time! The popular products that we deliver today withstand pressure between 400 and 1000 bars.

| Mobile hydraulics as the driving force | The mobile hydraulics became very early the driving force for further developments. We expanded our product line quickly with support hydraulics and truck cranes. Today, we deliver a special cylinder program to all established manufacturers in the industry. The special hydraulics also became a continuously expanding industry branch. For example, we built gang saw tensioning systems for the timber industry, dashpots for robots and spring type cylinders for brake systems. They were in all cases the result of challenges, which came from the close cooperation with our customers. We realized their wishes and requests and fulfilled them to their satisfaction.
Management change An important change for the future of our company was implemented in 1972. The long time sole owner, Carl Dechamps, offered his employee Ferdinand Kretz, who worked with him since the company was founded, a share of the business and promoted him and his son, Rolf Dechamps, to general managers. Today, the company is owned to 50% each by the families Dechamps and Kretz, and the latter is solely responsible for the management of the company.

| Continued expansion | Due to the continued growth, the space used during the founding days became too restricted. In 1978, we moved into a new building in the in the industrial park Erding Südwest, which grew in several construction steps to the current size of 5 halls for production, warehousing and final assembly. Our employee base grew to 220. You will find high-performance CNC lathe and milling centers, an accurate honing and grinding technology, modern measurement technologies and mobile test stands in our plant. The technology puts us into the position to offer outstanding technology at competitive prices. In 1994, we had to make a significant decision for the company to ensure that we would meet the demand in the long run. We founded NAMAC in Naumburg a. d. Saale (Sachsen Anhalt) because the local labor market did not provide enough resources. This company employs currently 60 people, mainly skilled craftsmen, and it is used as an extension for the parent company in Erdingen. It is our medium term objective to establish a hydraulics production there. This is why we offer comprehensive training for the Naumburg personnel.

| Industry partner | | ÖLHYDRAULIK ALTENERDING and NAMAC are equipped with state-of-the-art communication and organization systems. We try to overcome the lack of skilled craftsmen by increasing our internal training efforts for precision mechanics, technical draftsmen and industrial businessmen. This ensures that ÖLHYDRAULIK ALTENERDING continues to be a partner for their customers and a specialist with the collected know-how of many problem solutions for industrial and mobile hydraulics markets. | | | | Administration and production |
